What's different about septic in Orchid
Orchid is named in the Central Indian River Lagoon BMAP, so properties here that are still on septic fall under the July 2030 requirement. Island siting means a high water table and short distances to surface water, which is what the nitrogen standard is aimed at.
Sewer status
Whether a given Orchid property has a connection available is an address-level question rather than a town-level one. FDEP's lagoon map will tell you your program status; the county's septic-to-sewer program, 772-770-5300, will tell you about a line.
